Duties of the Best Man

The Best Man has more to do than signing the Marriage Certificate. Here is a list of duties that he can take care of.

  • Organizes the Groom's Stag
  • Pays the Officiant's fee/donation on behalf of the Groom
  • Responsible for the safe and early arrival of the Groom to the Ceremony
  • Assists the Groom with Tuxedo or suit rentals
  • Organizes the ushers at the ceremony and ensures that all of the guests are seated promptly
  • Responsible for the safety of the rings. During the ceremony, he hands the rings to the Officiant
  • During the Reception, the Best Man usually toasts the Bride, the Bride's Maids and thanks the guests
